I’m uncertain how often I’ll post here. This cowboy is getting older – that time in life when you feel body parts every day, every task seems to take longer than it did the year before, and the list of those tasks just seems to grow like weeds. Nevertheless Nitro is still my companion and certainly deserves his due. So we’ll see.
While Tigger had been the jock/adventurer of the family, Nitro (r) has always been more of the home-body type and always the epitome of sweetness. He tends to exhibit more of the typical Sheltie traits, such as wariness of new people or things, and the desire to herd his ‘charges’ (us) close together. When a family member is out of the house, Nitro takes up vigilance in a spot from which he can keep and eye on all entry points – no rest until everyone is accounted for and secure.
I’ll add a bit more about Nitro as time permits. Time escapes…
